A couple of seasons ago Lionel Messi and FC Barcelona put together a great novel around its renewal. Two years later, Ousmane Dembele he plans to do the same, but the young striker does not have the same backing as “La Pulga”. This situation of uncertainty generated a disgust to the Blaugrana institution to the point of not supporting their indecision anymore.
The novel has spread and the former Borussia Dortmund footballer is not convinced to renew for the club. The extreme youngster would not be in agreement with the statutes of his renewal and constantly locks the negotiations. Faced with this situation, Xavi Hernández came out to send him a warning.
“Either renew or we'll find a way out. In the end, the club has decided that if it does not renew, a solution must be found. We have to do what is best for the club. We are in a situation where we have to stop cold. For five months, Maten Alemany (a member of Joan Laporta's board of directors), has been talking with him and his representatives”, sentenced the strategist of the Blaugrana team at a press conference.
Dembélé could stop in the freezer of FC Barcelona
When questioning Xavi Hernández about the possibilities of Ousmane Dembélé continuing to form part of the starting eleven on a recurring basis, The strategist raised the possibility of reprimanding the footballer's attitude by leaving him on the bench.
“On Thursday we will decide (prior to the Copa del Rey match). It is not a pleasant situation for anyone. But what is clear is that the club's interests prevail hereXavi commented.
Out of FC Barcelona due to lack of commitment
Mateu Alemany himself spoke to the media to clarify Dembélé's situation. The manager was even more blunt with the Frenchman and pointed out that he should leave the team by not showing his commitment.
“We want players committed to the future of Barça and therefore, he should get out as soon as possible. This is the communication that we have made to him and, from here, the coach's technical decision is consistent with the club's decision and with this sequence of events, "he said.
FC Barcelona and an investment for nothing profitable
Ousmane Dembélé arrived at the club for €140 million euros ($158.7 million dollars). The 24-year-old attacker has been with the Blaugrana institution for four and a half years. That millionaire signing has not worked as expected. The French footballer has only played 129 games in which he has been able to score 31 goals and has distributed 23 assists. The biggest problem of the Frenchman have been the injuries, physical problems that have sidelined him for more than 700 days.
