"From today we declare suspended the dialogue table and the agreed agenda between the Colombian government and the FARC-EP, we will begin an internal consultation process with our dialogue commission, we invite the national government to do the same. The bilateral ceasefire remains as we have agreed, for the good of Colombia we hope we can overcome this crisis,” the letter read.
Likewise, the dissidents reported that the situation that the national table of the peace agreement with social and environmental justice is going through is in danger of generating a definitive break.
According to the dissidents, the “constant non-compliance” to the agreements by the Government, despite the fact that they have been designed, discussed and approved jointly, in addition to what they called “lack of seriousness” In compliance with each of the protocols, they distance themselves from the possibility of achieving the main purpose of the negotiation table, which is peace.
In turn, the criminal organization regretted the results of the election day of October 29, 2023, which demonstrates, according to the EMC, “the power maintained by mafias, clans and other electoral apparatuses in Colombia”. To the point that they rejected what they described as the actions of unscrupulous people who tried to foist attacks on the population, after losing in the contest.
In its communication, the EMC expressed its disagreement with the militarization of the territories of the department of Cauca in which, according to its position, the State has not been part of the development of the peasant communities "forgotten for so long", as well as of the indigenous and raizal peoples. And that “the hand of the state with its armed arm and not with its power of development” is imposed.
“It is evident that in this sense the State does not want a peace agreement"but an action of submission to our revolutionary armed organization and to the communities that have been beaten throughout their lives," the dissidents highlighted, just after the episode in which they are accused of instrumentalizing the civilian population to retain the force. public.
The EMC emphasized that as part of the agreements they have committed to adopt actions that guarantee the communities "their daily lives in peace and tranquility and that they can exercise their rights without any submission." But they denounced an alleged non-compliance by the Government, since it continues to “privilege the militaristic vision over social intervention.”
For Iván Mordisco's troops, who have been represented at the table by aliases Andrey Avendañohead of the negotiating team of this guerrilla, the military should leave areas such as El Plateado, in the municipality of Argelia, as was the established commitment.
"However, the response has been to increase the force, taking over all the spaces that the parties agreed to vacate, demanding action in them contrary to the agreements adopted, generating unrest in the communities and in the leadership of the FARC. denoting a total failure to comply with each agreement, each protocol and each commitment discussed, adopted and signed,” stated the armed organization.
Likewise, the guerrilla reiterated that at this moment the continuity of the dialogues is at risk and they leave it at the mercy of a breakup, with each of their actions. Although he also left open the possibility of sitting back at the table, when the difficulties described above are overcome, to resume negotiations.
“It will only be possible to resume talks, If there is the creation of a document where the State commits to compliance with each of the agreementsof the decrees, of the protocols and commitments that are adopted within the dialogue table, stated the EMC, and not documents that have not been discussed.
