F1: Verstappen "is a fair team player", Red Bull after incident with 'Czech' | Tweet
Red BullAustrian team for which they race Sergio 'Checo' Perez and the current two-time champion of Formula 1, Max Verstappenpublished an official statement on Thursday where they addressed the events that occurred during and after the Brazilian Grand Prix between Mexican and Dutch.
In a statement published on its website, Red Bull declares that they had not foreseen the situation in the last lapand being so late in the race, they didn't give Vertappen time to reactcommitting a equipment error by failing to communicate all the details of the change of position.
As a team we made mistakes in Brazil […] Max was only informed at the last corner of the order to give the position without having all the necessary information to be relayed. This put Max, who has always been an open and fair team player, in a compromising situation with little time to react. It was not our intention.
After the race, the Austrians confirmed that both drivers and the rest of the team had a conversation where “Max spoke openly and honestly, which allowed both drivers to resolve any outstanding issues or concerns.”
The team accepts Max's reasoning, the conversation was a personal matter that will remain private within the team and no further comment will be made.
Likewise, they disapproved of everything that happened after the race on social networks and in the media, condemning the comments as “unacceptable”. “The abusive behavior towards Max, 'Checo', the team and their respective families is shocking and sad and unfortunatelye, it's something that we as a sport have to deal with with depressing regularity."
The death threats, the hate messages, are deplorable. We value inclusion and want a safe space for everyone to work and enjoy our sport. The abuse has to stop.
For his part, Verstappen assured this Thursday that the dispute with 'Czech' is resolved after the Dutchman refused team orders to let the Mexican pass last Sunday during the race.
“I WILL DEFINITELY HELP HIM TO WIN IN ABU DHABI” 😱

Max stated after the race that “something that happened at the beginning of the season”, which caused him not to give in, besides that the communication within the team should have been better.
They had not told me anything about a possible change (of positions). It only happened on the last lap. After the race we put everything on the table and everything was resolved.
WHAT THEY SAID ON THE RADIO 😳
🇳🇱 Max: “I told you last time, don't ask me for this again, okay? Are we clear with that? I gave my reasons and I stand by them."
🇲🇽 Czech: Is he showing who he really is?
