Autoridades francesas informaron este jueves que fueron evacuadas más de 800 personas tras un incendio en un camping en el sur de Francia, cerca de Montpellier.

En el camping de Saint-Laurent-d'Aigouze, en el departamento de Gard. se produjo un incendio y se evacuó a las personas, aunque no hubo muertos ni heridos, de acuerdo a las informaciones oficiales.

Por su parte, el jefe del Departamento de Bomberos, Eric Agrinier indicó que el siniestro comenzó en la noche y quemó una quincena de autocaravanas, cinco coches y una furgoneta.

De igual manera, el funcionario refirió que aún desconocen el origen del incendio y que continúan las investigaciones para determinarlo.  

Por otra parte, las autoridades confirmaron que se dispuso de un centro para que las familias se alojaran.  

En los meses de julio y agosto también un camping fue quemado. Dicho espacio se encontraba al sur de Burdeos, junto a la duna más alta de Europa y 20. 000 hectáreas se perdieron, donde 34.000 personas fueron evacuadas.
