The Peruvian Minister of Health, Rosa Gutiérrez, specified that the Government provided funds to send 20,000 health brigades to those territories as part of a great campaign to prevent the appearance of these conditions in other minors.

"The goal is to intensify vaccination and improve coverage in our country. The goal is to protect more than 2,500,000 boys and girls under five years of age with doses against polio, measles, mumps, and rubella."

For this, there is a total budget of more than 27 million soles (7.3 million dollars or 6.7 million euros), he assured.

Likewise, the health emergency includes active community search for cases of flaccid paralysis, Guillain Barré syndrome and febrile eruption.

Health personnel agree that the return of these diseases is mainly due to the non-vaccination of infants, often due to campaigns by religious sects against vaccination, which convince a significant number of parents not to immunize their children. .

The vaccination sweeps will be carried out in Amazonas, Arequipa, Lambayeque, Lima, Loreto, Madre de Dios, Moquegua, Puno, San Martín, Tacna, Tumbes, Ucayali and the constitutional province of Callao.
