Mexico.- Elon Musk, 52 years old, has announced his intentions to charge a monthly fee for using X, a social network formerly known as Twitter.

According to the current owner of X, the monthly charge to use the social network would be one of his ways to fight bots.

Elon Musk's suggestion to charge a monthly fee for using X, which everyone knows as Twitter, came up during a conversation with the 73-year-old Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.

Well, according to Elon Musk, charging a monthly fee for using X was the only way he could think of to fight bots.

Elon Musk has sparked controversy once again by revealing that he would be thinking about charging “a small monthly fee” to use X.

This as a way to combat bots, since a few weeks ago the Anti-Defamation League accused Elon Musk of allowing anti-Semitism in X.

According to Elon Musk, this happens because of bots and he even threatened to sue the Anti-Defamation League.

“To clear our platform's name regarding anti-Semitism, it appears we have no choice but to file a defamation lawsuit against the Anti-Defamation League… oh, the irony!”

It should be remembered that since Elon Musk took over Twitter in October 2022 for a total of 44 billion dollars (756,735,760,000 pesos), he has implemented many changes.

Among them the change of Twitter's name to X and the dismissal of several employees of the social network, including those in Mexico.

Well, after Taylor Swift published her back covers and tracklist of her 1989 re-recording (Taylor's Version), Elon Musk “recommended” her to publish some of her music and concert videos directly on X.

However, Elon Musk's comment to Taylor Swift only unleashed more ridicule towards the billionaire, as many claim that it was a desperate proposal to make Twitter relevant.

Well, with the numbers of albums and concerts sold, her popularity in streaming, on the Internet and her icon status that Taylor Swift currently enjoys, they assure that she "does not need more promotion."

And they even asked Elon Musk to remember the lawsuit that X has with the National Music Publishers Association, since in June he was accused of infringing the copyright of 1,700 songs.
