La huelga de actores del sindicato SAG-AFTRA, iniciada el 14 de julio pasado, se ha sumado al paro de los guionistas de Hollywood, frenando o retrasando numerosas producciones de cine y televisión. En julio, cerca de 3.000 trabajadores de Starbucks en Estados Unidos protestaron por la decisión de retirar decoraciones LGBTQ de las tiendas durante el Mes del Orgullo.
Empresas como Amazon y McDonald’s también han vivido huelgas menores este año. Los expertos en relaciones laborales advierten que un nuevo conflicto podría darse en septiembre de este año, cuando expire el contrato sindical de 150.000 empleados de General Motors y Ford.
