Dominican Republic prepares for tropical storm Bret | News
The Emergency Operations Center (COE) of the Dominican Republic reported this Thursday that given the influence of tropical storm Bret in the Caribbean Sea, the country is preparing to counteract possible damage.

The entity pointed out that it met with the links of the 22 institutions that make up the organization to coordinate actions regarding the possible effects of tropical storm Bret as it passes through the Caribbean Sea.
The COE recommends that the population "strictly monitor the evolution and development of the storm, as well as the official bulletins of Onamet and this body," while noting that various levels of alert could be issued.

"In this sense, in the next 24 to 48 hours we could issue different levels of alerts, so that the population takes the necessary measures to protect lives and property," the agency said.
To be prepared, the COE recommended from June 21 to always have an emergency backpack ready that will allow you to survive for at least three days in the event of an emergency in the country.
According to forecasts, the second storm of this hurricane season, Bret, will pass through the Lesser Antilles tonight and begin to weaken until it dissipates on Saturday in the Caribbean Sea.
