The general director of Civil Aviation of Syria, Basem Mansou confirmed that the company is Mediterranean Airlines, and that for the moment it will operate with one flight per week.
The official also said that this route will later connect with the cities of Dusseldorf, in Germany, and Stockholm, in Sweden.
Similarly, passengers will be able to continue their journeys from Athens to numerous European destinations, such as London, Milan, Amsterdam, Prague, Berlin, Copenhagen and others.
In this sense, the flights will help ease the travel burden for all residents of Europe.
Mansou also reported that the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, associated with the Arab League, had informed the Syrian side about the return of all its activities to that territory.
Likewise, he considered that this will serve as a stimulus to the Arab countries to activate the flights to Damascus.
