Diego Cocca presents call for Nations League and Gold Cup
The Argentine technical director Diego Cocca presented the summons of the Tri for the semifinals of the League of Nations and the Gold Cup.
The experienced goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoawho has played five World Cups, heads the list of the Mexican soccer team.
For both Concacaf tournaments, the "Tri" will not have forwards Raúl Jiménez and Jesús "Tecatito" Coronawho was ruled out of the recent World Cup in Qatar due to a broken fibula suffered during training with his club, Sevilla of Spain.
For his part, Jiménez from England's Wolverhampton was called up by Cocca for the friendly matches that Mexico will play against the teams of Guatemala and Cameroon on June 7 and 10, respectively.
For the games against Guatemala and Cameroon, Cocca also called the goalkeeper Jose Antonio Rodriguez; defenders Néstor Araujo, Gilberto Sepúlveda, Kevin Álvarez and Omar Campos; midfielders Roberto Alvarado, Alan Cervantes and Diego Lainez; and striker Roberto de la Rosa.
Mexico vs USA
After facing Guatemala and Cameroon, Mexico will play on June 15 one of the semifinals of the Champions League against the United Statesand if he is victorious, he would play the final three days later against the winner of the other semifinal that Panama and Canada will play.
Subsequently, the team led by Cocca will play the gold Cup where they will face Honduras in Group B on June 25, Haiti four days later, and Qatar on July 2.
The Gold Cup final will be played on July 16.
