Desire to emerge

The new Custom Line flagship, launched in the Italian coastal city of Ancona, is the largest ship ever built by the brand. The 140' is called the superyacht of 42.61 meters in length and 8.54 meters in maximum width, which manages to reach 21.5 knots maximum speed and navigate at a cruising speed of 18 knots thanks to a pair of MTU 16V 2000 M96L propellers, each with a power of 2638 horsepower. In addition, it is equipped with a number of advanced technologies including a hybrid propulsion system that reduces fuel consumption and emissions.

Built inside the Ferretti group's Superyacht Yard, the boat — which is characterized by a sporty aesthetic, but is equipped with all possible comforts for the owner and his guests — has totally innovative spaces, a tri-deck with large internal volumes DESIRE EMERGING NAUTICAL Breitling Premier (left) and Breitling Navitimer (below) both in steel cases. 69 OCTOBER 2023 that exceed 300 square meters and external areas of more than 200 square meters. The design is distributed over four decks, with spaces designed to encourage sociability and that create a unicum between the exterior and the interior.

The superyacht, designed in collaboration with Custom Line Atelier, is an example of naval design inspired by residential architecture, and bears the signature of Francesco Paszkowski Design for the exteriors and Margherita Casprini for the interiors. The interiors are characterized by an elegant and refined design, with high quality materials and finishes. The spaces are spacious and bright, with large windows that offer a panoramic view of the sea. The 140' can accommodate up to 12 people in five cabins: it has, in fact, a 44 m2 owner's suite, three VIP cabins and a guest cabin.

On board there is a swimming pool, a gym, a sauna, a cinema and a bar area. Made of composite material and carbon fiber, an aspect that has allowed it to reduce weight and maintain a draft of only 2.35 meters, the Custom Line 140' is ideal for navigation in shallow waters, but, above all, it is a good example of a yacht that combines high-end Italian design with the most modern technologies: a beautiful and well-made boat.
