Deputies endorse the 2024 Income Law without changes in commissions
The Finance and Public Credit Commission of the Chamber of Deputies approved the Federation Income Law for 2024.
Among the criticisms of the opposition, it was endorsed without modifications with 23 votes in favor of Morena and allies, 16 against the opposition and zero abstentions. Legislators from the PAN, PRI and Citizen Movement criticized the debt of 1.9 billion pesos and the underestimation of the price of oil.
The federal deputy of the Citizen Movement, Salvador Caro, described the Economic Package as irresponsible. The legislator from Jalisco criticized that the federal government's economic proposal lacks a fiscal policy that generates growth for the country.
For the PAN, Carlos Valenzuela, accused the federal government of underestimating the price of a barrel of oil with the aim of allocating spending surpluses that may be generated in a discretionary manner to items such as the Mayan Train.
According to the agenda approved by the Political Coordination Board, the Law of Rights is expected to be voted on by the plenary session this Wednesday, while the Income Law will be discussed and voted on next Thursday.
