According to government figures, the provinces of Granma, HolguĂn and CamagĂĽey were among the hardest hit by the intense rains of recent days that caused rivers to overflow, floods and the isolation of 105 communities.
During his tour, Marrero spoke with the highest local authorities about the recovery efforts, after the passage of the hydrometeorological phenomenon, emphasizing that no one will be left unprotected.
In the opinion of several specialists, the most affected sectors were housing and agriculture and, to a lesser extent, damage was reported in several educational centers, stations and substations of the electrical system, and facilities belonging to the hydraulic infrastructure and telecommunications.
