During the presentation of the UN Common Agenda on the future of global cooperation, the representative called for everyone's concerns to be taken into account, and to commit to developing open, fair and inclusive negotiations.

Likewise, he referred to the right of all nations to a future without coercive measures and assured that an inclusive and real Future Pact must reflect the rejection of such cruel sanctions.
"I speak on behalf of Cuba, a country that for almost 65 years has suffered a criminal, illegal and unjust blockade imposed by the United States, which lacerates life itself and the most basic human rights of an entire people," he said.
Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the United Nations, António Guterres, in his speech, called for necessary steps to be taken within the organization to bridge the gap in aspirations "between the world as it is and the world as we know it can be."
Recalling the importance of the Future Summit to be held next year, he recalled “some of the main proposals established, such as the New Agenda for Peace, the reform of the international financial architecture and the Global Digital Compact.”
