El Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias (COE) de República Dominicana mantiene este jueves unas 13 provincias en alerta por la influencia de una vaguada.

El ente precisó, mediante sus redes sociales, que tres provincias están en alerta amarilla: Monte Plata, Monseñor Nouel, María Trinidad Sánchez.

Asimismo, diez provincias se encuentran en alerta verde: Santiago, San Cristóbal, San Pedro de Macorís, Samaná, Sánchez Ramírez, La Vega, Hato Mayor, Duarte, Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional.



En relación con las provincias en alerta, el COE recomendó a las personas abstenerse de cruzar ríos, arroyos y cañadas con altos volúmenes de agua, así como no hacer uso de los balnearios.

Por su parte, en su informe de esta jornada, la Oficina Nacional de Meteorología (Onamet) pronosticó que se mantienen la humedad e inestabilidad asociadas a la vaguada y al paso de una onda tropical, por lo que se prevén nublados esta noche y en horas de la madrugada, acompañados de aguaceros fuertes en ocasiones, tronadas y ráfagas de viento sobre provincias de las vertientes.



Para el viernes, la onda tropical se ubicará al oeste de la isla, y combinada a los efectos de la vaguada seguirán provocando nublados desde horas de la madrugada con aguaceros moderados en ocasiones, tronadas y ráfagas de viento.

En este sentido, Onamet refirió que la vaguada y la llegada de una onda tropical provocarán nublados con aguaceros, tormentas eléctricas y ráfagas de viento.
