El Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias (COE) de República Dominicana informó este jueves que colocó ocho provincias en alerta verde por una vaguada.

El ente precisó que las provincias en alerta verde son: San Juan, San Cristóbal, San José de Ocoa, Azua, Elías Piña, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, Santiago.
El COE decretó la alerta ante posibles crecidas de ríos, arroyos y cañadas, como consecuencia de una vaguada en varios niveles de la troposfera y los efectos locales de calentamiento diurno generarán nublados con aguaceros.

Por su parte, la Oficina Nacional de Meteorología (Onamet) indicó que hasta las primeras horas de la noche se generarán aguaceros, tormentas eléctricas y ráfagas de viento fuertes y localmente intensas.
Asimismo, se prevé que para mañana viernes, sean inducidos incrementos nubosos después del mediodía con aguaceros dispersos, tronadas y ráfagas de viento, sobre localidades de las vertientes: noreste, la llanura oriental, la cordillera Central y la zona fronteriza.
De igual forma, la Onamet refiere que la onda tropical ubicará al oeste de la isla, generando humedad sobre el territorio, que junto a los efectos del incremento del viento del este, ocasionarán nublados con aguaceros, tronadas y ráfagas de viento.
