Firefighters set up a tent where they are now conducting the tests in the vicinity of the Chula Vista government center.
They are between buildings B and C at 475 Fourth Avenue in Chula Vista.
They offer tests from 8:30 in the morning to noon, and from 1 to 4 in the afternoon, but will suspend tests on holidays.

Also the California National Guard military have joined the task of detecting infections.
In Chula Vista, firefighters have not reported an impact like the one reported by their San Diego colleagues by Ómicron.
At least 1 in 7 firefighters in San Diego have fallen ill with Covid 19 and are now unable to work.
The firefighters union in San Diego reported that 184 people in the department had contracted Covid as of Friday, mostly firefighters but also some civilians hired by the department.
The personnel shortage led San Diego firefighters to suspend operations of a dozen trucks and two other specialized units.
