'Cata' Domínguez apologizes for narco-themed party
The defender of Club Deportivo Cruz Azul Julio Cesar "Cata" Dominguez He apologized for having disseminated photographs of the drug-themed children's party that he organized for his son on the occasion of his 12th birthday.
In a statement posted on his account instagramthe footballer acknowledged that the images “they do not contribute to creating a better impression of Mexico” and defended that neither he nor his family promote or justify "any type of violence."
“We are people who promote sport in the new generations, in addition to the values and principles of an exemplary institution, such as the Cruz Azul Soccer Club,” said Domínguez.
In social networks, photographs of the event were disseminated where some of the invited infants -including the celebrated one- looked caps with the legend “Chapiza” and the initials “JGL”, as well as toy weapons.
The term "Chapiza" became popular on the TikTok social network among users who claim to be servers of Joaquín "El Chapo Guzmán", and the sons of capo. In the videos uploaded to TikTok, users accompany the images with narcocorridos.
The celebration was also attended by Cruz Azul players such as the midfielders Carlos “Charly” Rodríguez and Erik Lira, the winger Carlos Rodolfo Rotondi and the attacker Iván Morales.
Also, at the bottom of one of the images stands out one of the decorations of the party, the impression of a fragmentation grenade.
The party supposedly happened last Friday, January 6, one day after he was recaptured. Ovid Guzman Lopez in Culiacán, Sinaloa, member of the Sinaloa Cartel and son of "Chapo" Guzmán.
