Canadian teen is forced to provide sexual services by a couple
The young couple have nine charges against them.

On February 16, Alexandra Basaraba and Brooklin Jober Sutherland were arrested by the Alberta police, after a search of their house where They found pornographic material, as well as exploitation of minors.
A 16-year-old girl revealed to a student counselor that she had been a victim of the couple, who forced her to provide her sexual services. The student also specified that she met Basaraba and Sutherland at a social event.
Through a statement they explained that the teenager is receiving support necessary to overcome the trauma caused by the couple of exploiters.
The defendants now face nine charges related to human trafficking. of minors under 18 years of age, hiring a person under 18 years of age, organizing a sexual offense against a child, enticing a minor, advertising of sexual services, production, possession and distribution of child pornography.
Edmonton authorities launched an alert por if there are more victims approach them to do justice for the crimes caused by the couple.
âWe want to recognize the courage and resilience of the surviving victim. ALERT she is worried if there are other victims out there, I encourage them to communicate with usâ, explained Frank Page, representative of ALERTA (trafficking in persons) in a conference they offered together with the city authorities.
Basaraba and Sutherland are due to appear in court on March 10.
