British justice agrees with Juan Carlos I and dismisses Corinna Larsen's harassment claim
After a preliminary process in July, the judge has determined that the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom is not appropriate to try the case and that the lawsuit should have been filed in the country where the defendant is domiciled.
The High Court of London has finally rejected the lawsuit by German businesswoman Corina Larsen against King Emeritus Juan Carlos I because it considers that the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom is not appropriate to judge the case, and because Larsen's account of the lawsuit does not constitutes a criminal act of harassment.
After a preliminary process in July, Judge Rowena Collins Rice has determined that the lawsuit should have been filed in the country where the defendant is domiciled, in a ruling that may be appealed.
The ex-lover of the emeritus claims 146 million euros in damages for the alleged campaign of harassment due to her refusal to resume the relationship and return the almost 65 million euros transferred "out of gratitude and love."
