British Defense Minister describes Hamas' actions as "pure evil"
London, Oct 11 (EFE).- The British Minister of Defense, Grant Shapps, described this Wednesday the actions of the Hamas militias in Israel as "pure evil" and asked that people refer to those responsible for the attacks as terrorists. .
"It's just horrendous, isn't it?" "There are reports of babies being massacred, festival-goers, as we heard the other day, murdered, even a Holocaust survivor murdered," Shapps told GB News from Brussels, where he is attending a meeting of NATO defense officials.
"And this is not just about militants or gunmen, as I see it described in some places, call it what it is, pure Hamas terrorism," the minister stressed.
"We have asked (Israel) to ask us when they need something specific, and those conversations are ongoing. But I think the main thing they need is understanding and support from the rest of the world right now because what happened was unprecedented and was frankly pure evil," Shapps stressed of the weekend attack by Hamas on a music festival in Israel near the Gaza border.
"I don't think Hamas represents the Palestinian people," he said.
