El Gobierno boliviano informó este lunes que culmina la emergencia sanitaria y pasa a la alerta epidemiológica por Covid-19 mientras se mantiene el uso obligatorio de la mascarilla en centros de salud.

“Gracias a acciones concretas contra la Covid-19, como el diagnóstico y vacunación masiva, el equipamiento de hospitales, la unidad y solidaridad de todas y todos, hoy Bolivia deja atrás la Emergencia Sanitaria Internacional e ingresa a una Alerta Epidemiológica Nacional”, dio a conocer el mandatario.
A su vez, Arce aseguró que los bolivianos “estamos más unidos que nunca” mientras destacó que la unidad “nos permitió dejar la Emergencia Sanitaria y ahora nos mantenemos alertas. Lo que ayer parecía imposible, hoy es una realidad”.

No obstante, el jefe de Estado apuntó que continuarán aplicándose de manera obligatoria las medidas de bioseguridad en establecimientos de salud y recomendó el uso de la mascarilla en espacios cerrados, así como el lavado y desinfección de manos como prevención.
Asimismo, destacó que proseguirá la vigilancia epidemiológica, el diagnóstico oportuno, el avance de la vacunación de la población contra Covid-19 en todos los grupos etarios y el mantenimiento de la Alerta Sanitaria en la Red de Servicios de Salud.
En este sentido, la ministra de Salud y Deportes de Bolivia, María Renée Castro, precisó que como parte de la alerta epidemiológica nacional se incluyen catorce recomendaciones para evitar los contagios.
De igual forma, fue emitida una resolución conjunta entre los Ministerios de Salud y de Educación para establecer el protocolo de bioseguridad en pos de evitar el avance de enfermedades respiratorias.
De acuerdo con las fuentes oficiales, la nación suramericana contabiliza 22.399 fallecidos y 1.202.450 casos de Covid-19 desde que fueron detectados los primeros positivos en marzo del 2020.
