This Thursday the Brazilian team made its debut at the Qatar 2022 World Cup official after defeating its counterpart from Serbia with a score of 2-0. However, not everything is joy in the five-time champion despite the “beautiful game”, as the star Neymar Jr. withdrew with notorious physical discomfort and grimaces shortly before the end of the game.

It was around the 79th minute of the commitment when the 10th took advantage of a break in the game and unexpectedly sat down on the grass to grab his ankle with visible pain and concern. Quickly from the ‘canarinho’ bench they replaced the attacker with the Manchester United winger, Anthony.

In the live broadcast of the match, it was possible to see how Neymar left annoyed and with a serious face. Upon arriving at the substitute bench, the team’s medical teams approached him and put ice on one of his ankles while the footballer covered his face with the yellow-green shirt.

At the moment the extent of the injury, blow or discomfort is not known, but the player’s face, the gesture of the Brazilian coach consoling him and the ice in the ankle area have set off the alarms and worried more than one.

Neymar did not have the best of his games. Brazil dominated almost 60% of the possession and had more than twenty shots, but the attacker was erratic in many combinations and passes between the lines. The PSG star could not display his wide repertoire of dribbling due to the lack of precision and the hard marking he was subjected to by the Serbs, who committed more than 10 fouls and several of them towards the former FC Barcelona player.

Ankle injuries to the Brazilian soccer leader have been a constant in his career. Since he arrived in France, he has suffered at least three that took him away from the pitch for a long time and he could not even play the 2019 Copa América.
