El Servicio Nacional de Prevención y Respuesta ante Desastres (SENAPRED) de Chile comunicó este lunes que aumentaron a 26 las personas fallecidas por los incendios forestales reportados en el sur del país.

El ente suramericano señaló que se reportan 3.276 damnificados y 1.156 viviendas destruidas por los 63 incendios que aún se encuentran activos entre las regiones del Maule y La Araucanía.
Al mismo tiempo, SENAPRED precisó que se han desplegado más de 170 brigadas entre sus efectivos en conjunto con los de la Corporación Nacional Forestal (CONAF) y las empresas forestales, así como casi 60 aeronaves.
En este sentido, esta jornada se sumará al enfrentamiento de los incendios que han quemado 246.198 hectáreas un avión denominado Ten Tanker, el cual tiene una capacidad de 36 mil litros de agua.
De igual forma, alrededor de 300 brigadistas mexicanos se incorporarán en las regiones de Bío Bío y Ñuble, territorios en donde se reportan 180.000 hectáreas afectadas, más de 800 viviendas destruidas y 19 fallecidos.
En total se contabilizan tres instalaciones hospitalarias destruidas, 276 sitios caídos, 1.383 personas albergadas y 1.260 personas atendidas en centros de salud cuando se mantienen controlados 161 incendios.
A su vez, ocho regiones permanecen en Alerta Roja, cuatro en Alerta Amarilla y tres en Alerta Temprana mientras que solo se precisan dos incendios en trayecto.
