Army applies Plan DN-III-E in Guerrero after tropical storm Max
Due to the rains caused by "Max", Mexican Army reported that the DN-III-E Plan is applied,helping the population.
This action is derived from the meteorological effects caused by Tropical storm “Max” in the state of Guerrero, personnel of the Mexican Army, the Command of the IX Military Region activated a Force of 1,480 troops, who carried out the following actions:
Establishment of the DN-III-E Plan Operations Coordination Centers at the Region, Zone and Military Sector level.
Coordination Meetings with State and Municipal Civil Protection authorities.

Ground surveys were carried out in the Municipalities of Acapulco, Coyuca de Benítez, Coahuayutla, Atoyac de Álvarez, Tecpan de Galeana, Benito Juárez, Petatlán and Zihuatanejo de Azueta Guerrero, in order to locate shelters, temporary shelters and possible evacuation routes and vulnerable areas.
It supported the removal of fallen trees, mud, silt and debris.
Vehicles dragged by the current were towed.
It supported the rescue of people and their evacuation to previously established shelters, providing security and food (hot drinks and bread).

With these actions, the Mexican Army and Air Force reaffirm their commitment to ensure and safeguard the well-being of citizens, contributing to the Government of Mexico and the State of Guerrero to provide assistance in the relief of people and their property and to assist in the reconstruction of affected areas.
