The Argentine president, Alberto Fernández, demanded this Wednesday the deepening of the investigations into the assassination attempt on Vice President Cristina Fernández, perpetrated on September 1 of last year.

"I ask the judiciary to act with the same urgency with which it archives cases in which prosecutorial judges or powerful businessmen appear as defendants," Fernández said.
Speaking at the beginning of the 141st session of Congress, the head of state pointed out that six months ago this nation experienced one of the most unfortunate episodes in 40 years of democracy.
