These are three maturities on the debt that the South American country has with that international financial organization.

The Ministry of Economy decided to postpone debt payments with the IMF until after the general elections to be held on October 22.

The country will unify three maturities, the one of 1,280 million dollars that expired this Friday, the one on October 12, for 640 million dollars and the one on the 30th for 673 million dollars. Thus, the last week of this month, the Government will have to make a large disbursement to this organization.

These payments are part of the agreement reached by the government with the organization and which allowed the disbursement at the time of 7.3 billion dollars prior to the primary elections, the PASO, which took place in the month of August.

The drought that Argentina went through this year, one of the largest in history, has led to the derailment of the program and they are seeking to renegotiate a new program. It has taken the Government four months to give the green light to this disbursement, which is basically to repay the fund for the program that the country acquired under the management of Mauricio Macri.

That debt taking, the largest in history, continues to leave its mark and the National Government continues to work to trace the necessary paths and try to comply with the commitments while continuing to address national needs and manage the Central Bank's reserves.
