André Onana leaves Inter Milan and joins Manchester United | Video
The Cameroonian goalkeeper André Onana left the Inter de Milanan Italian Serie A club, to sign for the Manchester Utd of the English Premier League.
According to sky sports, he 27 year old goalkeeper passed the medical examination in the Premier League team, which will sign the goalkeeper for 51 million euros (56.70 million dollars) plus another four million euros in accessories.
“I fell in love with the San Siro, the Curva and the city. Now the circumstances arise for me to start a new adventure in Manchester"Onana said in a statement addressed to Inter fans.
“I do it with great enthusiasm, but knowing that I will miss them. Eternal gratitude to all the 'Interisti'. You make this club great”.
Onana arrived at Inter in July 2022 coming from Ajax from Amsterdam. He quickly became the coach's starting goalkeeper simone inzaghi and was fundamental in a campaign that ended with the Inter winning the Italian Cup and the Super Cup. also reached the Final of the Champions League.
Onana seemed destined to be Cameroon starting goalkeeper long term but decided to retire from the national team after playing a single game in the World Cup 2022, where he was suspended for disciplinary reasons. He was capped 34 times.
