An Amazon employee delivering groceries in Temple Hills, Maryland, was fatally shot Friday night in circumstances that are under investigation. Stephen Lee Green, of Sykesville, Maryland, was found inside his truck around 11:15 p.m. in the 2200 block of Afton Street, Prince George's County Police said in a report issued Monday. Police said the 34-year-old man had been shot and died at the scene. Green had just finished delivering an Amazon grocery order to a house on Afton Street. Police said they are investigating the shooting as a homicide. Green's devastated wife told reporters that she doesn't know why his wife was killed. She said that she did not carry money or wear jewelry. The police indicated that they are working to identify a suspect and find a motive. Amazon, in a statement, expressed its "deep sadness" over this unfortunate event, and that it is supporting the investigation by law enforcement agencies.
