Alien invasion and psychological horror: the new film “No One Can Save You” comes to Star+
Anyone who follows the news recently will know that topics of aliens, UFOs and government conspiracies are more in vogue than ever. In this context, the arrival of no one can save you (No One Will Save You) to Star+a thriller that combines science fiction and horror in a story of invasion and abductions carried out by non-human entities.
Directed by Brian Duffield, the plot follows Brynn, played by Kaitlyn Dever (passage to paradise, The night of the nerds), a young woman who suffers from agoraphobia and anxiety disorders, for which she is rejected and lives in seclusion, far from the city. The film begins when her house suffers a break-in, the threat increases when she realizes that the invaders are not ordinary men, but extraterrestrials.

The film is inspired by the filmmaker's unfinished project Steven Spielberg called Night Skies, which featured aliens superior to humans in every way. “I wanted to marry that story with an intimate study of characters facing an alien invasion,” said screenwriter Duffield in a press release.
Unlike other films of this cut that keep their villains a mystery until the end, no one can save you shows the aliens from the first minutes, following the stereotype of small grayish men popularized in the 1980s.

The invasion serves to delve into the psyche of its protagonist, her past and why she lives away from people, using aliens as a metaphor for the vulnerability that can be experienced with the unwanted invasion of our personal space.
To reinforce the emotions, Duffield decided that the main actress had few dialogues and thus amplified her character. “For most of the movie, there's no good reason for her to talk because she tries so hard not to make a sound. Clearly he wasn't going to shout: 'There's an alien in my house!', it's not about that," he said to Entertainment Weekly.

“Plus, Kaitlyn can monologue with her eyes in a really impressive way,” he added. And it is true, because within hours of its premiere, critics have already reviewed the feature film praising the performer's work with qualifications such as "phenomenal", "incredible" and "astute" on Rotten Tomatoes, where the title maintains an approval rating of 82. %.
