After the passage of Max, an emergency declaration is issued in four municipalities of Guerrero
The Government of Guerrero announced that the Government of Mexico, through the National Coordination of Civil Protection, issued the “Emergency Declaration” for four municipalities of Guerrero that were affected by Tropical Storm “Max” that made landfall last Monday, the 9th. October in the Costa Grande region.
This declaration is due to an agreement that establishes an emergency situation for the municipalities of the Costa Grande, which are Benito Juárez, Atoyac de Álvarez, Tecpan de Galeana and Coyuca de Benítez.
From this action, Guerrero can access the resources of the Program for Emergency Response to Natural Threats, to cover the need for shelter and food for the affected people.
To meet the urgent needs of the affected population, the National Civil Protection Coordination authorized the distribution of supplies to care for the population that is in an emergency situation.
