Actor Matthew Perry, Chandler Bing in the popular series "Friends," dies
The well-known 54-year-old American actor has been found dead in his home in Los Angeles.
The actor Matthew Perryknown for playing Chandler Bing in the popular series Friendsdied this Saturday morning at the age of 54, according to several American media reports.
The newspaper Los Angeles Times points out, citing police sources, that Perry has been found dead in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home. The authorities went to his home around 4:00 p.m. local time (00:00 in the Basque Country) and found him unconscious there, the newspaper notes.
"There were no signs of any criminal act," adds the newspaper, which states that the Los Angeles Police Department in charge of "robberies and homicides" is investigating the death.
Perry gained his popularity in the series of this group of friends, played by Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer, which lasted 10 seasons. Likewise, he starred in films such as The Whole Nine Yardsin which he shared the screen with Bruce Willis.
According to the actor himself, throughout his life he had suffered several episodes of drug and alcohol addiction.
