Abierto de Los Cabos 2023: El mexicano Rodrigo Pacheco cae en primera ronda
El chileno Nicolás Jarry, 28 del ranking mundial, derrotó este martes por 6-3 y 6-1 al mexicano Rodrigo Pacheco y se clasificó a la segunda ronda del Abierto de tenis de Los Cabos 2023, torneo 250 de la ATP.

Jarry impuso condiciones con su servicio que combinó con 25 tiros ganadores, por siete de su rival.
En el primer set el chileno hizo un quiebre en el sexto juego y ahí se enfiló al triunfo en la manga inicial. Pacheco, 817 de la clasificación de la ATP, careció en concentración en el segundo y en el quinto “game” volvió a perder su saque.
“Pacheco va a ser un gran jugador. He trabajado duro en las dos últimas semanas y estoy contento con el resultado”, señaló el chileno, que en la segunda ronda enfrentará al neerlandés Gijs Broumer, raqueta 144 del mundo.
Jarry fue el sobreviviente entre los chilenos, que sufrieron la eliminación de dos de sus figuras, Cristian Garín y Tomás Barrios.
Un poco antes el australiano Alex De Miñaur, vigente campeón, necesitó sacar su mejor tenis para eliminar al tunecino Skander Mamsouri, 296 de la clasificación, por doble 6-4.
Mansouri, llegado del torneo de clasificación, hizo un quiebre en el cuarto juego, tras el cual confirmó y se fue delante por 4-1, pero De Minaur reaccionó, quebró en el séptimo y otra vez en el décimo para ganar el set inicial.
En el segundo la lucha volvió a ser cerrada, con varios quiebres, hasta que en el décimo el australiano rompió el saque y se impuso.
En otros resultados de la segunda fecha del campeonato el australiano James Duckworth le ganó por 6-3 y 6-0 al finlandés Otto Virtanen y el ruso Ilya Ivanshka venció por 3-6, 6-3 y 7-6(5) al kazajo Beibit Zhukayev.
