With the support of the “Search Program” put into operation by the governor of Guerrero, Evelyn Salgado Pineda, so far 872 people have been located who had not had contact with their families after the impact of Hurricane "Otis" in Acapulco and Coyuca de Benítez.

The above is the result of the work of 30 brigades and the operation of 9 telephone numbers via WhatsApp that operate 24 hours a day, through which the Government of the State of Guerrero continues to help reunite families during this contingency.

The state government reported that “in a decisive manner, the state president prioritized the search for people who had not had contact since the night of October 24 when the meteor hit this beach destination, with the aim of giving peace of mind to those who reported to their relatives as missing, managing to join efforts with the federation to address one of the main demands of the affected population.”
