After a lengthy investigation, conducted by the Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (MO ICAC) and other authorities, it was executed a search warrant for Ronald Lawrence, suspected of possessing, producing, and distributing child pornography videos and photos.

The St. Charles Police stated that the 8-year-old victim was found in the house of 23-year-old Lawrence in the 1400 block of Rue Street, with another man.

I’m relieved that this girl is now safe in protective custody and that the suspect has been arrested,” St. Charles County Police Chief Kurt Frisz told FOX 2 Now.

The officer also added that “Detectives from MO ICAC as well as Cyber Crime, conducted a thorough investigation of the suspect’s online activities, which led to the rescue of the victim”, he pointed out.

As confirmed by extensive forensic examinations and interviews, investigators identified a second victim of sex trafficking, a reason that leads them to think that there are more people who suffer because of the detainee.

We remain committed to protecting our youth of these terrible experiences and we encourage possible victims to contact the authorities,” says Chief Frisz, to the same newscast.

Prosecutors accused Ronald Lawrence of legal sodomy in the first degree. The defendant is being held at the St. Charles County Department of Corrections without bond.

The Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department CyberCrime Unit and the St. Charles County Regional SWAT Team assisted with the rescue of the little girl.
