6-year-old boy dies after being attacked by a dog in Florida
It is estimated that in the United States between 30 and 60 people die each year from dog attacks each year.

A 6-year-old boy was taken to a hospital after being bitten by a dog, according to the North Port Police Department, however, due to the severity of his injuries he died.
The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. in the 2700 block of Badger Lane last Tuesday, when police officers from the city of North Port, Sarasota County, rushed to a home where a reported a dog bite, authorities said.
The injured boy was taken to a hospital with "extensive traumatic injuries". He then he was transferred to a second hospital, where he died.

The dog, a 3-year-old pit bull mix, was being held by Sarasota County Animal Services, police said. The boy and the dog lived together in the same house. Police are not aware of any previous incidents involving the dog's behavior.
“Our hearts are broken for this little boy and his family,” North Port Police Chief Todd Garrison said. “As a parent and pet owner, I know this is one of the worst tragedies you can imagine.“.
According to journalistic data, fatal dog attacks in the United States they cause the death of about 30 – 50 people in the United States each year.
Besides, It is estimated that about 4.5 million Americans are bitten by dogs each year. resulting in the hospitalization of 6,000 to 13,000 people each year in the United States.

Dog attacks in Louisiana and Idaho in January left children dead. In February, a man in his 80s was killed and three others injured in a dog attack in Texas. A Pennsylvania woman died after being attacked by a neighbor's dog in March.
