5.8 magnitude earthquake registered in Japan | News
The Japan Meteorological Agency recorded a magnitude 5.8 earthquake off the coast of Soya, north of the island of Hokkaido, at 02:39 a.m. (local time) on Saturday morning.

According to the entity, the epicenter of the telluric movement was located about 330 kilometers east of the Soya coast, at 45.8 degrees north latitude and 143.2 degrees east longitude.
For its part, the United States Geological Survey reported, in a preliminary way, that the magnitude of the earthquake had a value of 5.6.
According to reports, the towns of Hakodate and Urahoro, in Hokkaido Prefecture, and Hashikami Mutsu and Higashidori, in Aomori, perceived the seismic intensity at level two.
Meanwhile, the intensity in the remaining towns of the Hokkaido, Amomori and Iwate prefectures was one and so far, the authorities have not reported loss of life or material damage.
On May 5, a magnitude 6.2 earthquake shook central Japan, followed by a magnitude 6.5 earthquake that killed one person and injured 21.
