40-year-old woman dies during cosmetic surgery at a Tijuana clinic

The commissioner of COEPRIS, Erwin Areizaga Uribe, reported that “personnel from this agency went to the clinic to review the documentation, which was partially shown, they were only able to review the general aspects of the clinic, as the legal representative was not found, nor "the director of the same, for which he proceeded to leave a summons to show the documentation that accredits the academic degrees of the staff and those people who participated in the patient's surgery."
He indicated that they are working in coordination with the FGE, who will carry out investigations to determine responsibilities.
Likewise, Commission staff will review the permits and facilities, medications and documentation of the personnel who participated in the surgical procedure.
