19-year-old woman falls with human remains; she 'had to throw them in a vacant lot'

In a surprising operation carried out on Zalatitán Avenue and Prolongación Gigantes, in the Alamedas de Zalatitán neighborhood, Tonalá, Jalisco, elements of the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA) made an important arrest. During the procedure, two vehicles traveling in a convoy were intercepted. While a vehicle with two men on board managed to escape, a gray Kia Rio, driven by a 19-year-old girl, was stopped for inspection.

In the trunk of the vehicle, the military discovered several bags containing human remains. The remains will be sent to the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) and the woman was transferred to the homicide area of ​​the Prosecutor's Office.

The detainee, identified as Joana, confessed during the intervention that her task was to dispose of the remains in a vacant lot. This discovery occurred during a chase in the same area, where Joana was transporting the dismembered body in her car, and she was abandoned by her accomplices who fled in another vehicle.

The operation intensified when eight other men and one woman, in addition to Joana, were arrested in the municipality for allegedly being involved in the disappearance of people. More bags with human remains were found in the vehicle in which they were traveling, confirming the seriousness of the case.

Daniela Reyes, another name associated with Joana, was mentioned in connection with the transportation of the human remains. She was intercepted by SEDENAmx while her accomplices escaped. The young woman was detained at the intersection of Zalatitán and Prolongación Gigantes avenues, in the Loma Bonita ll neighborhood of Tonalá.

The case is further complicated by the discovery of possible victims deprived of liberty in a home in the Pinar de las Palomas neighborhood, in Tonalá. Johana Jocelin M., along with Marcos R., 18, and Roberto Emmanuel S., 23, were detained near the scene. In a search of the vehicle, two black bags were found in the trunk, which also contained human remains.

Initially, it had been reported that only one woman had been captured, but the investigation revealed that a total of nine were detained, eight men and her. The detainees were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office to continue the investigations. This case has sparked great interest and concern in the community, and it is expected that more details will come to light as the investigation progresses.
